Concealed Mounting

No Holes are placed in the front of the plaque

STUD MOUNTED

This method is recommended for concealed mounting on brick or masonry walls.

The plaque is drilled and tapped from the back only to accept a threaded stud. Threaded screws are included and are taped to the plaque packing material for shipping. Please do not throw out shipping material until you have located your hardware.

Stud Mounted Bronze Plaque. This Bronze Plaque is mounted into stone from the back of the plaque only. There are no holes in the face of the plaque. Studs are drilled into the back of the plaque during production. The Placement of the studs vary depends on the size and shape of the actual plaque.

HOW TO INSTALL THIS TYPE OF PLAQUE STEP BY STEP

1) DRILL A HOLE ABOUT THE SAME SIZE AS THE STUDS

2) FILL THE HOLES WITH 3M SILICONE (Home Depot or local Hdwe store)

3) PUT SILICONE ON THE BACK OF THE PLAQUE PUSH INTO THE HOLES

4) FROM THE FRONT PLACE A BEAD OF SILICONE AROUND THE ENTIRE PLAQUE

That's It! Plaque is mounted.

Stud placement on plaque varies and it is necessary to wait for plaque in hand before drilling mounting holes

Toggle bolts (threaded machine screws with spring-loaded butterflies) work well with hollow tile, cement block, or drywall surfaces. Holes are drilled through the face of the plaque for toggle bolts. Rosettes which cover the machine screws are optional.

Rosettes, Machine Screws & Expansion Sleeves Machine screws and expansion sleeves work well with brick, stone, or masonry walls. Holes are drilled through the face of the plaque for machine screws. Each metal expansion sleeve (lead anchor) has a threaded interior that accepts a machine screw. Rosettes are optional.

The border on a cast plaque is cast integral with the plaque and is generally highlighted by either a stroke-sander, a buffing wheel or hand-rubbed to provide a pleasing contrast with the background finish.
